The last day of October already! We saw the month out with a lovely half term break in Funchal, arriving home in the early hours of Saturday morning. On Friday we took a walk from the apartment to Sao Tiago Fort and the gardens of the Quinta das Cruzes Museum. It was my last chance to wear this dress, which I took with today’s Style Not Age post in mind. Jacqui set the prompt of “Orange You Excited For Halloween”, and as you probably know, I have plenty of orange in my wardrobe!
I also have this dress in pink, which I wore on my previous trip to Funchal in July. When I bought it I was torn between pink and orange, but I’d already bought a few orange dresses and the Barbiecore trend had me craving some sugary pink. Well, a few weeks ago I saw the dresses had been reduced to £10 and I couldn’t resist buying it in orange too. The pink version is still on the TKMaxx website and I’ve found an orange one (size large) listed on Vinted for £7.99. This cotton dress is cool and airy, especially with the angel sleeves so it’s ideal for warm, humid weather.
As I had to pack light (Pete might dispute I achieved that!) I took this green vegan leather bag inside a bigger bag as hand luggage. (You probably won’t be surprised to learn that I also have it in orange!) It’s big enough to carry all my essentials for a day out exploring, and as it’s faux leather it’s very light too.
I finished off my outfit with gold jewellery, including my Monica Vinader rings. I love teaming them all together for maximum impact. For me, no outfit is complete without beautiful jewellery! You can bag 20% off full priced items at Monica Vinader using code MVINSIDER20-58B4.

Gail says she doesn’t have very much in orange but has chosen some striped tights that are perfect for Halloween! The mini witch’s broomstick came from Tesco…it’s a fantastic accessory and matches those fun tights. Visit Is This Mutton? for all the details.
Hilda has had this orange OUI coat for 25 years! It still looks magnificent, especially with that very stylish hat. You can read more at Over the Hilda.
Anna has teamed an old but still fabulous trench coat from TK Maxx with floral print trousers from Primark (this season, now on sale for £6!). Pop over to Anna’s Island Style for all the details.
