Hello…London calling! The iconic red phone box is so quintessentially British…but I have a confession to make…I’m actually writing this in France. A Summer holiday at my Dad’s in Brittany is becoming a tradition, and this year (for a change) we have been very lucky with the weather. I am looking forward to a weekend in London when I get back though. I don’t get many opportunities to visit the capital for leisure so I like to make the most of it when I’m there. The plan is to visit the Tower of London, and maybe do a little shopping if I’m allowed!
Anyway, back to today’s outfit. I bought this midi skirt a few months ago from Chicwish, and since then I’ve seen it on quite a few other bloggers, as well as Lorraine Kelly, but I love it so I don’t care. That is the risk you run with something this distinctive. The bold print calls for (no pun intended) a plain top, but as the neckline of this one is high I added a red beaded bib necklace. A simple white, black and red colour scheme is one of my favourites and works well with this skirt. However, if you’re feeling brave I imagine a brightly coloured top would be an interesting alternative. Yellow or emerald green maybe? Food for thought next time I wear it!

Perfect outfit, absolutely perfect. From the tassles on the shirt to those lovely heels. Didn’t you sink into the grass with them? I also start moa ing to Ron when he wants to photograph me with heels on soft grounds haha.
Have a lovely time in France and London.
Greetje
Thanks Greetje! Yes heels sinking into the grass is real bugbear of mine…but it’s the price we pay for fashion I suppose! I usually do my photos in the garden to avoid being stared at in public by people wondering what the hell I’m posing for 🙂
I just love London anything! That skirt is so cute! Love the necklace you paired with it!
Thank you Laura 🙂
Stunning look, from the print to the accessories! Very bold but nice.

I love this style of skirt, especially the London prints. I’ve had my eye on chicwish.com a while. (Still debating if I’d get away with it ) I love the acssesories you have chosen too. Those shoes are lush x
Thanks Laurie! You should go for it – I bet you’d look lovely in whatever you picked! Chicwish have some lovely skirts 🙂
I’m kind of obsessing over that skirt – despite not really being a skirt person! Great outfit and I love the way you’ve teamed it with those gorgeous accessories.

Thanks Michelle! I have to confess that I feel more comfortable in trousers but every now and then it’s nice to wear a skirt for a change 🙂
