Pink Cord Trouser Suit + Style With a Smile Link Up

Well this week seems to have slid by in a blink! That’s not the only reason the link up is a day later than usual; my laptop battery is on its last legs and I desperately need a new one. It lasts about 20 minutes before I need to charge it again. It’s had some hammer though, so I shouldn’t be surprised.

I bought this pink cord trouser suit in the January sales but I’ve been saving it for the new season

We’ve almost made it through the winter and nature is waking up. I love seeing all the flowers and blossom appearing. I’m especially drawn to pinks, greens and lilacs at this time of year. I bought this pink cord trouser suit in the January sales but I’ve been saving it for the new season. I’d had my eye on it for ages, but my size kept going out of stock. I struck lucky and got both the jacket and trousers in a size 10. Actually, I think a size 8 in the trousers would have been better because they come up quite big.

They’re also a few inches too long – something that was highlighted multiple times in the reviews. But I ordered them anyway, hoping my pink chunky Converse trainers would give me enough elevation. Alas, they don’t, but rather then send the trousers back, I’ll get them taken up. These boots just about stop the trousers dragging on the floor if I pull them up high on the waist.

Pink and leopard print

I was thinking of teaming the suit with a floral print top (if I’d worn my pink Converse), but decided on leopard print instead. The warm tone matches my bag and compliments the chestnut brown boots. I completed the outfit with gold earrings and my statement fuchsia ring. Oh, and my little furry blog assistant!
