I’ve always loved fruity prints, and not just for summer. This season seems to be awash with cherries, which I’ve incorporated into both my wardrobe and home (and my nails). This jacket is part of a collection at River Island with Nephthys Illustrated. When it was first launched I had my eye on a number of pieces, but they were a bit on the pricey side. So I waited to see if they went on sale, which they did! I bought this jacket half price, but resisted buying anything else. While most other pieces in the collection have now sold out, unbelievably this jacket is still available! And as if getting it half price wasn’t already a bargain, it’s reversible, so it’s two for the price of one. Or half of one! Even better.
I’ve teamed it with barrel leg jeans and a burgundy top to match the checkerboard print. The other side of the jacket is mostly pink (as you’ll see further down), which I think will look great with pink and red, or pink and green outfits. I’ve got several other reversible jackets, raincoat and a gilet. I like being able to switch up an outfit in an instant. This reversible cherry print jacket is a fabulous addition to my spring wardrobe.
I’m a day late with this post because I went out last night with Isobel. We went to see Justin Hawkins Rides Again – the stage version of what Justin does on his YouTube channel. For those of you not familiar with him, he’s the singer and guitarist with The Darkness. We saw them live just over a year ago and it was a fantastic gig. A a surprise for Isobel, I upgraded to the VIP experience a couple of weeks ago, so we got to meet him before the show, ask questions and have a photo taken with him. That hasn’t come through yet, but I’ll share it when it does. It was a brilliant show, I highly recommend it if you get the chance to go!
