Thanks for stopping by today, I hope your week is going well. Today’s outfit is the result of one of those long waiting games I play on resale sites looking for certain pieces to pop up. I’ve managed to buy about half a dozen items from the Desigual x Miranda Makaroff collection, and these jeans are the latest addition. I had previously bought some on Vinted which had pen marks and grass stains on them. (Fortunately I got a refund.) Then a couple of months ago these popped up in my saved search, brand new with tags for £18! I couldn’t believe my luck because the damaged ones were more expensive, and often used ones are listed for £80!
I just love Miranda Makaroff’s playful, colourful prints. In this post I wore the top with an amazing coat from the same collection. I’ve also got a sleeveless top, a mesh long sleeve top and another pair of jeans that I haven’t featured on the blog yet. In colder weather I’ll swap the shoes for long boots – either my white ones or my Vivaia black knit boots. With cooler weather on the way, I’ll be putting my sandals away and dusting off my boots by the end of the week. It’s definitely feeling autumnal now!
My foot seems to be healing nicely and I can’t wait to get the bandages off next Tuesday! The post-op sandal forces me to walk on my heel which is causing some muscle stiffness now. I can’t wait to soak my foot in the bath!
My cat Henry gave us all a scare on Sunday when he clearly wasn’t feeling well. He was very lethargic and off his food. On Monday morning I realised that he had a urinary tract issue, which he’s had before. (It’s quite common in older neutered male cats.) That resulted in two trips to the vet in one day – once for a consultation and blood test, then another for an antibiotic injection. He appears to be improving now, which is a relief.
He could have early kidney disease (another common issue in older cats) so we may have to switch him from the special urinary food to a renal diet that’s lower in protein. At the grand age of 17 and a half we have come to expect some health issues, but it’s still a big worry when he’s poorly. As I write, he’s curled up fast asleep on his cushion 🙂 Long may it continue!

Thank you Kathrine!
Emma, both of these pieces are such fantastic works of art! They look fantastic on you, and they so suit your style. The site stalking was definitely worth it! Thanks so much for including me in last week’s favorites. Glad to hear your foot is mending nicely. The walking boot is not ideal as a fashion statement, but I know you’ll make it work! Hope you have a good week!
Thank you Di! You’re very welcome!
Oh, Emma, these pants have to be the coolest ever! I love how the design is on the side. It’s even better that you got them for a lower price than the ones that were damaged.
I’m glad you and Henry are on the mend. We had a Westie with diabetes so I’m constantly watching our current one for signs. It’s so worrisome as they can’t really talk, right? Thanks for the link up, too!
