How are you all doing? Bizarrely, this week already seems very long and we’re not even half way through it yet. I’ve had all sorts of technical problems, including getting locked out of my blog dashboard. I was starting to panic, thinking I’d been hacked! Eventually, I managed to reset my password. Actually, I think part of the problem is working on different devices – my laptop and phone. Somehow WordPress got its knickers in a twist. In addition to that, my ShopStyle widgets won’t display any more. Consequently, I’ve switched to RewardStyle, but I find it very tedious to use. Have you had any issues with ShopStyle? I’ve emailed the support desk but so far haven’t worked out what the problem is.
I’ve also been trying to improve my video editing recently. Finally, I’ve just about mastered TikTok (on a very basic level) but I detest editing Instagram reels. After a bit of research, I found a free app called YouCut, which is much easier than editing on Instagram, and there are more features. I’ve heard that Instagram doesn’t show your stories/reels if you import directly from TikTok (with the logo). Plus, it’s very time-consuming to edit twice. So, to save time I’m going to use YouCut and hopefully I’ll get quicker at editing on my phone. You’d think it would come easier to me after working in TV for 20 years!
Anyway, on to today’s outfit. Actually, I shot these photos a few weeks ago before I got my hair cut. You may remember last summer I had a day out in Cardiff at the official launch of Soul Sisters (where I met Lou – aka the Instagram sensation Luinluland. What a bloody brilliant day that was! Well I bought the red cheetah T-shirt, which fast became my favourite. I’m a huge fan of the brand and love to support independent, women-owned companies. Well, you can imagine how delighted I was when Luna and Wenda asked me to be a Soul Sisters brand ambassador!
Best friends Luna and Wenda founded Soul Sisters. Although they have different backgrounds within the fashion industry they share one passion: to bring women together to empower one another. The Soul Sisters collection includes graphic tees and sweatshirts, designed with female empowerment and sisterhood in mind. The garments are made in the UK and printed with 100% eco-friendly dyes.
This fabulous Soul Sisters lip print sweatshirt is named after the Charlie’s Angels actress Jaclyn Smith. (She was my favourite of the three Angels.) Just like the iconic 70s TV series, it oozes disco vibes and sassy glamour. The cropped style would look great with high-waisted wide leg trousers (I have some red culottes that come out of storage every summer that will look fab with it). However, the weather was a bit chilly so I teamed the sweatshirt with my faux leather leggings and OTK red boots. I love the voluminous sleeves of the sweatshirt and the funky lip print. Plus, the fabric is really soft so it feels lovely to wear. I can’t wait to try styling it different ways!
