If you were wondering why I didn’t post the link up yesterday, basically it was the weather’s fault! It tipped it down with rain and hail most of the day, only drying up as the light went. Typical. Today was a much better day, which gave me the motivation to put some nice clothes on, instead of slobbing around in a baggy tracksuit.
There was a chilly wind even though it was sunny so this soft cardigan was the perfect layering piece. It was on the shelf above these jeans and I noticed how the green in the floral print is the same shade as the cardigan. I bought them from Zara a couple of years ago but have never worn them until now. The retro floral print is right up my street, and while I like the raw edge hem, I’m not so keen on the constant fraying and loose threads dangling. (I’ve already trimmed them twice!) I picked out the orange in the print with my top and bag to complete this trio of citrus spring hues!

Thanks so much Kathrine!
There is just something about a citrus print that screams spring and summer, isn’t there? I love those jeans…isn’t there a fray guard or something like that you can spray on them? Your earrings match your top perfectly!
Thanks so much for the feature as well as the link up. I hope you’ll join us for the Weekend Traffic Jam on Friday!

Thanks Marsha! I’ll look out for that spray!
Those jeans are very good! It gives a instant summer feel. But keep the cardigan on, it even froze here last night! Gosh, come on, we want warmer weather right!
Thanks Nancy! Apparently it froze here too – Pete noticed when he got up for an early shift. I’ve just planted lettuce and tomatoes too!
The colours are super friendly and bright. Perfect to entice the sunshine that we so badly need! Hope this weather improves for us all x Jacqui
Thanks so much Jacqui!
I love your cardigan! Thanks for the party!
Thank you Amy!
I’m loving all these colours together, Emma!
I’m sure I tried to buy those jeans from Zara a few years ago but couldn’t find them in my size. In hindsight, they’re not very me but are SO YOU! Shame about the raw hem though, I’ve never been too keen on those.
Big hugs
Suzy xx
Thanks so much Suzy! The jeans are not very stretchy, which is probably why I haven’t worn them, but on a non-bloaty day they feel ok!
Love the mix of gorgeous citrus hues in this outfit Emma, they look great on you! The pieces are so interesting individually. Your sweater is a fantastic color, and so special with the rhinestone buttons, texture and ruffles. And those jeans- I love the retro print! Hope this outfit brings some sunshine. Thanks for the link up and have a good week!
Thanks very much Di!
What fun pants! Loving the vintage vibe of the flowers and colors. I think I had wallpaper similar in color and flowers back in the 60’s. You can pull off any kind of looks…I love it! Fashion is all about fun! Thank you for hosting each week and sharing your style.
Thanks so much Karin!
Lovely green shade 😀
Thank you 🙂
All of these colors make me so happy! I love how happy the hues are!

Those jeans are so fun! It’s great you were able to get them out and give them a wear, even if the hems annoyed you a little! The cardigan looks so good with them 🙂
Thank you Mica!
