This week is a busy one with work – a general election and sporting events disrupting the TV schedules. But the main event is Isobel’s 15th birthday today! It’s true when they say the days are long but the years are short. It doesn’t seem that long since she turned 10.
On Sunday I’m off to London to see AC/DC at Wembley, followed by a day to myself pootling around the capital. I’ll probably be looking in vintage and charity shops. My outfit for the gig will be a world away from this colourful concoction (yes, I’m wearing a black T-shirt!). This yellow puff sleeve blouse is another Vinted gem. The seller offered me a cheaper price, so I thought why not? Bright colour, puff sleeves, embellishment AND a dagger collar…how could I resist? There was a button missing, which I replaced with the one from the bottom, which isn’t needed as the blouse is tucked in. I knew about that, but there was also a small hole where the label had been cut out. Luckily I managed to fix it quite easily.
I tried a few pairs of trousers with the blouse but settled on these emerald green ones for a bold and bright colour blocking outfit. Metallic accessories are always a good option with bright colours so I opted for gold boots and bag. These pearl embellished sunglasses are cheap and cheerful but they add a fun finishing touch to any outfit.
This post should have been published yesterday but my site has been down intermittently over the last couple of days. Plus, I was exhausted when I got in from work and really couldn’t be arsed with waiting for it to sort itself out. Apologies if you were expecting the link up yesterday. I feel like I’m coming down with something but it won’t stop me rocking on Sunday!
