It’s been a while since I last wore an orange outfit so I had to put that right! I previously wore this suit with a darker print blouse and a navy bag. That was in December, but this is a more summery way to wear it. This neon orange trouser suit will never blend into the background so I’ve embraced the boldness and added yellow for a double zesty hit! I love this bag but unfortunately the metal turn lock sheared off so it doesn’t close. It doesn’t really matter though as I only use it for work.
The retro floral print blouse brings the orange suit and yellow bag together while also adding some pink into the mix. Using that as the “third colour” I’ve finished the look with my pink sunglasses and statement ring. It wasn’t particularly warm when we took these photos last week (in fact it was quite chilly) but I took my jacket off to show you the pretty collar on the top for one quick snap!
After a very busy week last week, I’m glad to say things have calmed down and I can catch up on emails and blogging! We finally completed on the sale of mum’s house on Friday after a year of ups and downs, sales falling through, unexpected obstacles and time wasters. It’s bittersweet because four generations of our family have lived there, but everything has to come to an end sometime doesn’t it? Spending three days clearing out the house and packing the last of the stuff was exhausting. My brother had done a lot as he lives nearby but there was still a lot to get through.
One last drama was the removal men turning up a day late but thankfully we had a few days before completion so it worked out ok. After making sure it was all transferred to a storage unit near me I could breathe a sigh of relief. The next day I was working in Birmingham, followed by a day in Salford. By Saturday I was fit for nothing! Anyway, it’s done now and we can look forward to a holiday and mum buying a lovely bungalow just around the corner from us. I took some photos and video of the house for posterity so I’ll probably make a reel when I’ve let the dust settle.

I love how you summerized this suit! The floral blouse is perfect with it. Congrats on finishing up the sale on your mom’s house. It was bittersweet for me too when we sold our family house. Thanks so much for the feature and link up!

Emma, that is a fantastic trouser suit on you! I love what you did with your accessories, and the pink, orange and yellow retro blouse. By chance, I am also wearing a pink and orange top this week. So glad that your real estate transaction is behind you. Thanks so much for the favorite mention, and hope you have a calmer week ahead!
Emma, this is a glorious suit! It just makes me smile, and the top underneath looks so 70s…or is it 60s? It’s so bittersweet when the family home is sold though mine wasn’t in the family for that long. I am glad the headaches are finally over for you. Thanks for the link up!

Congrats on the sale of your mum’s house—that must feel like such a relief! My mom moved out of my childhood home about 4 years ago, and as much as I miss it, she’s much happier now with a smaller place to care for. Hope life feels calmer for you now!

The orange suit looks so good. I love the monochrome style so much. And the yellow bag is beautiful, it really accents the orange really well. I hope you’re having a lovely week.

I’m glad that the sale and move finally came to a end for you. Although it’s also a very definitive end of childhood memories isn’t it? But now you can look forward to your holiday! What a fabulous trouser suit! Orange is energetic. I love the bag too, yellow is growing on me.

Congratulations on the selling of the house. I know that’s a big load off of your minds.
That suit is fabulous! I love that you’re wearing such a bold color and adding in the pinks and yellows, they read as better neutrals than white, black, or tan.
That’s stunning Emma, nothing like a suit to give you confidence. I love the yellow accents too. A nice summer outfit. Jacqui xx
Lovely orange outfit 😀
Beautiful colorful styles! They look great!
