Today’s outfit is based around this long-lost Scotch and Soda cardigan which I bought on Vinted months ago. I’d been receiving regular updates about its shipping status, but after it was marked as being in transit, the expected arrival date kept being pushed back. I’d selected delivery with Evri to the local Tesco and have never had a problem with this courier before. However, after several weeks had passed I was advised it was probably lost in transit and got a refund. That was in January.
Fast forward to a few weeks ago when I went to collect another Vinted purchase via the courier Yodel from the local Morrisons Daily. After scanning the barcode the shop assistant asked if I was expecting two parcels. Unusually for me, I wasn’t! He was convinced he’d seen my name on another parcel, which he promptly found. Puzzled by this, I opened the package in the car and to my amazement it was the long-lost Scotch and Soda cardigan! Where had it been for the last five months? And why was it at a Yodel collection point and not Evri? I guess I’ll never know! Anyway, I’m delighted it arrived, however it came about!

I’m guessing the cardigan was from the same Scotch and Soda collection as this co-ord because it’s the same colourway. That is what you’d call sartorial serendipity! I used to buy direct from the Scotch and Soda website (as I did this co-ord), but like another of my favourite Dutch brands, Fabienne Chapot, the shipping is now too expensive thanks to Brexshit. Looking for second hand bargains is more fun anyway…like this Scotch and Soda snake print suit that I found on Thrift+.
Well, life has been very busy lately! I worked three days in Birmingham last week, and one in Salford. On Sunday I took mum back to her house in Cambridgeshire to get rid of more stuff. We might have a completion date very soon and with my work and her dialysis three times a week, it makes it very difficult to fit it in. I could spend a week there and probably still not finish everything. Needless to say, we were both exhausted when we got back to Cheshire just before midnight on Monday. Yesterday it rained all day so there was no opportunity to take photos, which is why I’m a day late with the link up post. I’m back in Birmingham tomorrow until late…I’m hoping the last train home isn’t cancelled!

Thanks so much Heather!
Most people would match a statement piece like this cardigan with a monochrome combo underneath – myself included. I love it how you always think outside of the box and put on an awesome, vibrant outfit full of colors and patterns, you have such a lovely style! <3

You’re welcome!
Very odd when and how this fabulous cardigan showed up, but so glad it wasn’t lost in transit forever! I currently have a bright pink cardigan that I ordered that has been missing in in the postal system for four weeks now. I hope it turns up like yours did, one sooner! This is a fabulous outfit-I love the print mix of the sweater with your coordinates. Hope you have a more restful week coming up. Thanks for sharing and the link up!
Thank you Di! Hopefully your cardigan will turn up soon!
What fun to finally receive your cardigan and then have it be such a surprise! It truly is fabulous, Emma, and goes with the rest of your outfit so beautifully. I hope life slows down for you soon. It’s hard moving your mom from her home. I remember doing that with mine. But, she loved living in her apartment for many years. Thanks for the link up!

I’m totally baffled as to how it turned up when and where it did, but I’m very happy that it did!
Gosh what a story. Weird how it sometimes turns out right? Every time I see something of Scotch&Soda on Vinted I’m thinking: that would look good on Emma! Thanks for the feature!!
Dutch brands are the best! It was a nice surprise…and also ended up being free as I got a refund ages ago!

Absolutely! Brand-culture fusion is essential for ensuring that brand promises are not just words but lived experiences for both employees and customers. This blog highlights the crucial connection between a strong company culture and delivering on brand commitments. Thanks for sharing this insightful perspective!
Wow, what an incredible story about the long-lost Scotch & Soda cardigan! It’s amazing how it resurfaced after five months — almost like it was meant to find its way back to you. And it pairs so perfectly with your co-ord… true sartorial serendipity!
I really love how you mix second-hand treasures with unique statement pieces. I actually run Armonia Gems, where we work with natural Ethiopian opals and handmade gemstone jewellery, so I always appreciate seeing people style outfits with personality and pieces that have a story.
