Well we’ve had some glorious hot and sunny weather in the UK for the last few days…sadly it’s now on its way out though. All good things must come to an end. The unusually high temperatures for early May made me feel like I was holiday again. In fact I haven’t even put any of my holiday clothes away yet. I will get plenty of wear out of this Issa wide leg jumpsuit over the Summer though.
This Issa wide leg jumpsuit is one of three that I bought for my holiday, and is probably the most versatile of them all.
It looks like a maxi dress because of the very wide legs – you can’t really tell it’s a jumpsuit until I start walking. The deep V neckline keeps the upper half of the body streamlined in contrast to the voluminous trousers. And it has pockets, which always score extra brownie points from me. This Issa wide leg jumpsuit is one of three that I bought for my holiday, and is probably the most versatile of them all. For a more casual look I would layer a fitted white T-shirt underneath it and wear with my Stan Smith trainers. For cooler days I’d top it off with a denim jacket.
The balmy evenings in Abu Dhabi didn’t require an extra layer. All I needed to add was some jewellery and my cute cat bag; that’s the great thing about jumpsuits – they require very little accessorizing. I finished off the outfit with my gold wedge espadrilles, which gave me a little bit of extra height and prevented the trouser hems catching on the floor.
For once I was actually quite restrained with my footwear choices on this holiday – I didn’t take any heels and I wore every pair of sandals I took! I must be getting better at this packing malarkey. I’d still like more practice though 😉 My next trip will be to my Dad’s in Brittany during the Summer break…and who knows what the weather will be like then!
What are your top tips for holiday packing? Do you manage to pack light or take too much stuff and then regret it?
