Happy Sunday! I hope you’re having a fantastic weekend. The heat has returned here and it’s feeling rather muggy and oppressive. I don’t usually post solely outfit posts on Sundays but I have a few ready to go so I thought I’d mix things up a bit. We shot these photos during the brief respite from the hot weather. That said, this charming dotty dress is very light and breezy, and the stretch jersey material makes it really comfortable.
I intially considered styling it with neutral wedge sandals and a straw shopper bag for a more casual outfit, but decided to dress it up with some colour. Teaming this black and white polka dot dress with red accessories creates a stylish and comfortable evening look. The beauty of a dress like this is its versatility, making it ideal for trips away; it would take up very little space in a suitcase and it doesn’t crease easily. The deep V neck is very flattering on larger busts, while the knotted front adds definition around the waist.
For cooler temperatures during daytime I’d layer a fitted cardigan over the dress, but as I was aiming for an evening look I chose this faux leather jacket. This did crease quite badly in the packaging but the worst of the creases dropped out after I left it on a hanger for a day or two. It’s also available in red and silver (which I was very tempted by) and is only £19.99. The dress is now reduced to £10 and is also available in other colours.
Disclaimer: I was gifted the dress and jacket in exchange for a review. All words and opinions are my own and completely honest.
Emma, of course, I adore this dress…because black and white polka dots are always fabulous! And red is the perfect color to accessorize this pretty dress. That leather jacket is magnificent, too. And did you say it comes in silver? How fun!

Love the polka dot dress. Looks so cute on you, especially with the leather jacket. Cropped jackets and sweaters always look so good with dresses I think.
I love a classic polka dot dress especially in a fit and flare and like you I usually wear or prefer to style a black or navy dress with white dots, with some bright red accessories. This look is 100% me and you look incredible in it, I must say! Your bold bracelet and ring are just fabulous!
Come join my monthly Sunday linkup as well! Thanks. =))

Thanks for sharing today. Jacqui Mummabstylish
I’ve barely left the house all week and worn a lot less than that! I find taking outfit photos really hard at the mo too! The dress looks great on Emma. I think there’s a huge polka dot trend on way this year xx
You showed clothing from Krisp before, I have to write that shop down as you show fabulous clothing for that price! Just such a lovely dress!
What’s black and white and red all over? A Newspaper! (red/read). And Emma! Sorry, this lovely outfit made me think of that children’s riddle.
A very strong and classic look with the black and red…and I love the knot front dress. I keep wanting to try one to see if it hides…all THAT at my tummy.
