Happy Friday! I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas and enjoyed some stress-free time with your loved ones. I had a very relaxing Christmas Day and Boxing Day at home with the family, including my mum who managed to get away for a couple of days in between dialysis sessions. The house was filled with toys and mountains of wrapping paper, which completely freaked the cat out. I’m hoping to restore some kind of normality before I go back to work on Tuesday…I’m not looking forward to that 5am alarm!
I’ve done a little bit of shopping in the sales over the last few days and picked up some ankle boots, a dress and a velvet jacket. I’m sure they’ll be making an appearance on the blog soon. For my last post of 2016 I’m keeping it casual with a StyleWe red top, black skinny jeans and my Jennifer Hamley Clutch from the Model KT bag. I ordered the red top with the midi skirt I wore in this post but it was too cold at the time to wear it. Also, it wasn’t quite the right top for the skirt as it’s a bit looser than I expected. The weather was quite mild for a few days in the run up to Christmas so I took the opportunity of taking some outdoor photos.
The eagled-eyed among you might notice that I’m wearing a different nail polish in the first two photos – that’s because the first attempt at photographing this outfit didn’t go too well. The light was poor and the colour of the top looked really washed out. I find taking outfit photos at this time of year really tricky because there’s so little daylight. I’m definitely looking forward to Spring!
I hope you all have a wonderful New Year’s Eve, whatever you’re doing. We’re staying at home and having drinks and nibbles with a few friends. Every year we say we’ll go out somewhere but never do! Too cold and too expensive! One thing I will be doing in the new year is launching my own blog link up…I’ll keep you posted!

Thanks Yvonne! Happy New Year 🙂
What a cool top! I love the cut and how you styled it with the bracelet! I’m with you regarding the difficulty of getting pictures in due to the days being so short. Even here in L.A. we have had nothing but gloomy, rainy weather for two weeks, which makes taking photos for my blog tough!

Thanks Katie! We’re over the shortest day now so things will slowly improve. I’d much rather have a cold and sunny day than grey skies!
