Spring is finally here – and with it comes that wonderful sense of renewal and transformation – perfect for refreshing your personal style. Jewellery, often an understated yet powerful fashion element, is poised to make a statement this season. But as things warm up, what are the biggest styles we’re set to see in 2025?
Jo Hill, co-owner and lead stylist at Hill & Hill, an Independent Jewellers based in Altrincham shares some of the biggest trends we can expect to see this season.
“Spring is the perfect time to reinvent and restyle your image,” she notes. “Looking at the emerging trends, there are three big themes: embracing individuality, playing with symbolism and not being afraid to blend generational boundaries when it comes to design”.
“Last year was all about statement earrings; this year we can see a wide variety of design choices that can accentuate outfits and capture attention” Jo notes.
Oversized rings, bold necklaces, and chunky bracelets are now starting to take centre stage in new and exciting ways. They can convey confidence, draw the eye to the piece or elevate an outfit choice. Jo recommends pairing bold jewellery with minimalist outfits to create a sense of dramatic effect.
It’s not about just going big. Size is one element we can use to make a statement, but it’s not the only one. Don’t be afraid to play with metals, textures and combine style types. For necklaces for example, mix and match chain styles and stack or layer your choices to create visual interest. Don’t be afraid to move away from traditional jewellery rules – why not break them instead?
“Vibrant, spirited jewellery has been an enduring trend, and one we continue to see it make waves in 2025” Jo says. Coloured gemstones are a simple way to make any outfit feel personal and unique, whether you prefer classic elegance or something a bit more playful.
Emeralds, sapphires and rubies are leading the way, adding a lively touch to jewellery style choices. This has also led to a rising interest in vintage jewellery such as Victorian brooches and chokers where these dramatic stones are right at home. For something a bit more playful, watermelon tourmaline (especially when set with diamonds) can really create a sense of vibrancy and fun.
The curated ear trend continues to evolve in 2025, offering endless possibilities for creativity Jo notes. “A highly individualistic trend, the beauty is that there’s no right or wrong way to do it – it’s all about self expression. It could be a unique, balanced look that reflects the wearer’s personality, or a way to mark memories and important milestones.
For example, pair diamond studs with a bold ear cuff to play with elegance and modernity, or choose meaningful charms and chains to tell a story. Whether you start with a few piercings or build up over time, you can mix coloured stones, initials, and different shapes to reflect your evolving style.
Welded bracelets continue to be a major trend this spring. “2025 isn’t just about standing out, we’re also seeing an appreciation for lasting bonds and meaningful relationships influencing style and design” Jo explains. Welded bracelets are a beautiful example of this trend, and it takes wearing your heart on your sleeve to a new level.
While sleek minimalist choices are quite popular, wearers can also add charms to add an element of storytelling to their designs. Whether looking for understated elegance or warm emotional significance, there is definitely something for everyone to choose from.
“Similar to other trends, clients are increasingly seeking jewellery that tells a story or holds sentimental value. A persons initials, whether our own or someone we love can be incredibly meaningful” says Jo.
Letter and initial designs can be incredibly versatile, and even writing styles can play a role in blending meaning and beauty. An elegant, cursive pendant with slim gold chain can serve as a quite declaration of love, while a bubble lettered style that echoes 90s nostalgia can be unapologetic in its individuality. Whether you’re looking for something classic or more contemporary in style, this trend is definitely one to check out.
“With 2025 marking the Year of the Snake in the Chinese zodiac, snake-inspired has definitely started to make an appearance” notes Jo. Snake pendants, rings, and charms are both stylish and symbolic – they can evoke a sense of transformation and enduring love, making them a fitting choice for spring’s sense of renewal.
Beyond their symbolism, serpentine designs can range from edgy to elegance. From sleek, winding and smooth necklace designs that accentuate the neckline to sterling silver bracelets that detail every scale, spring is definitely the season for this trend.

I’m so glad statement jewelry is back. I am not a delicate jewelry kinda person. I really would like to get a couple more piercings in my ears, but I don’t think they’d show unless I cut my hair. My daughter did the permanent jewelry for a bit. I couldn’t do that; I’d get bored! Thanks for all the info, Emma!
