Welcome to the latest Match Made in Seven! We are an international group of fashion bloggers who meet once a month. One of us chooses a theme which can be anything – a book, music, a color, a movie – and then we style an outfit based on that theme. This month it was my turn to chose the theme, and as we can’t go out anywhere I thought it would be fun to wear something special…even if it is just for the blog. When lockdown finally ends I’m sure we’ll all be keen to go out for drinks with friends again, but for now it’s a case of all dressed up and nowhere to go!
I’m wearing a new dress by Jolie Moi that I bought with a Debenhams gift voucher. I usually convert the money I accumulate on TopCashback to Debenhams credit because you get more that way than if you opt for a bank transfer. But then I heard that the company might be folding so I needed to use them quickly. I bought this and one other dress by Jolie Moi (which I’ll show you very soon), plus some clothes for Isobel.
I’d had my eye on this dress for a while; I just love the high neck and flowing sleeves. When I saw it had been reduced to less than half price I couldn’t resist! The fabric is quite thin and stretchy so it’s perfect for late Spring/Summer. The open section at the back makes it airy too. If you don’t like short sleeves but don’t want to cover your arms completely this style is a good compromise; ending just above the elbow, the sleeves cover the upper arm but are loose enough to keep you cool on a warm day. I’ve picked out the red in the pattern with my shoes and bag, but blue, black or nude would work well too. Gold jewellery completes the look.

I love finding reasons to dress up now, Emma, and I think you did a super job with this outfit! What a great shape that dress has and so many ways you can go with the colors. You’ve accessorized it just perfectly, too. I love your little bag, too!

What a spectacular dress ! It fits you so well and the bag is lovely 🙂
I have to admit I have admiration for those who get dressed these days, a total inspiration. Last time I got fully dressed was about two weeks ago. I am having such a hard time getting dressed. I continue to try.
Your dress is definitely a keeper, Emma! You look gorgeous wearing it. May this all end soon so we can actually be dressed up and have a place to go!!
Another beautiful dress Emma. I think i need to buy it as its so pretty and not a bad price.
Thanks Anna! I’m really pleased with the fit and quality…I just need somewhere to go in it now!
What a fantastic print, Emma! I love the bold primary colors, too. And I keep forgetting that I have similar red shoes in suede that I only wore once. I need to get those out! Thanks for linking up.
