A black dress is such a wardrobe staple, it is so versatile and can be dressed up or kept casual, depending on the accessories. I bought this Ganni black dress from Brand Alley. It was a bit of a gamble as I was unfamiliar with the label, but I was very pleasantly surprised. The quality of the material is fantastic and it feels really well made. It was a real bargain too. The waistband has some stretch so it’s really comfortable, and leaves room to layer a top underneath in cooler weather.
Dresses that you can style for almost any weather are good investments and wardrobe space savers. I know I’ll get lots of wear from this dress; whenever I’m stuck for outfit ideas I go back to black. It’s a go-to outfit when I’m in a hurry. I kept the look simple with black tights and boots (from Office) and added a punch of colour with my red leather Juno bag. The bracelet (previously seen here) is from Asos and the wooden ring is a holiday souvenir from Cape Verde.
