Today was one of those days when I opened the wardrobe and every drawer (several times) looking for outfit inspiration. I expected a colour or print to jump out at me, but some days you just can’t decide. So I turned to a wardrobe saviour – the pencil skirt – as my starting point. This See by Chloe skirt is quite thick but stretchy so it keeps everything streamlined.
I also have the red version of this skirt but it comes up a little smaller. Isn’t it annoying when that happens? I bought them both from the Outnet in the sale. Buying classic, good quality pieces when they’re on sale is always a good investment. Pairing the See by Chloe pencil skirt and khaki draped top creates a flattering shape thanks to the knot at the waist. The suede Jaeger London bag compliments the colour of the top and keeps the look simple and understated.
The silver and green amber ring is one I made myself at jewellery classes; it was a labour of love but definitely worth the many hours it took to make! The flower bracelet is from Pia, and was a Christmas gift from my mum.
The snake print shoes are from the Autograph range at Marks and Spencer.
