I’ve been showing you some of my amazing sale purchases in recent posts and this dress is another bargain. I found it on the sale rail in Marks and Spencer with no price on the tag. Just like with the yellow lace dress, I got a nice surprise when I queried it…only £5! It may be that these bargains hang around because they have no price tag and nobody wants to ask a member of staff. Well, sometimes it pays to be curious. You can unearth some fantastic bargains in end of the season sale, you just need the patience to keep looking.
I did intend to save this dress for a holiday, but as it was really hot at the weekend I decided to wear it for lunch with the family. I really love the way the sleeves look like butterfly wings when I spread my arms out. The design is really clever because it has a sleeveless upper half with the cape-like “wings” as an added layer. This means it keeps me cool while covering my arms. If you are conscious about showing your upper arms in Summer this style of dress would be ideal for you.
With its soft stretchy, non-crease fabric it’s guaranteed a place in my suitcase on my next beach holiday. It will work as a cover-up during the day, and I can dress it up with jewellery and wedge heels for the evening. Now, I just need to book a holiday. Or maybe I can fly away in the bargain five pounds dress that makes me feel like a butterfly!
