This summer has been awash with bold neon colours. Admittedly it’s not a trend for the faint-hearted (fluorescent yellow skinny jeans may not be everyone’s cup of tea) but it’s surprisingly easy to tap into with a few well chosen accessories. These Carvela shoes are both bold and ladylike which makes them easy to work into your everyday wardrobe, and they’re surprisingly comfortable too. The River Island pencil skirt gives a nod to the neon trend too with a dash of acid yellow against a black and white background.
Whenever I want to try out a new trend, I find accessories are a good starting point. Neon accents with black and white make this trend accessible without going out on a limb. However, now I’ve dipped my toe in the neon water (so to speak) I’m definitely going to try working a bolder look before summer finally fades away.
