When it comes to jeans I usually alternate between a distressed boyfriend style and skinnies, but lately I’ve been looking to mix it up a bit. These slim leg jeans from Bonmarché strike the perfect balance between a straight leg style and skinny jeans. The classic cut in dark denim looks chic whether dressed up or styled for a more casual look. Pairing these jeans with a classic white shirt, jacket and heels would create a relaxed professional outfit.
I’m lucky enough to be able to wear what I like for work, but I still prefer to make the distinction between my work outfits and what I wear at home. These Bonmarché slim leg jeans and stripe floral jumper teamed with red accessories are perfect for off duty chic. Jeans and a striped top is one of my preferred casual ensembles. The floral embroidery on this jumper is a Spring-appropriate twist on the classic Breton top. It’s currently on sale reduced from £24 to £16.
Finding well-fitting jeans can be something of a challenge – we’ve all had those soul-destroying moments in changing rooms trying to squeeze into a pair of unforgiving jeans, right? For me, the key to a good pair of jeans is striking the right balance between the amount of stretch and the thickness of the denim. If they’re too thin and stretchy they won’t give you a streamlined fit, and they’ll quickly show signs of wear. Jeans that are too thick and rigid feel uncomfortable and can also add bulk.
At only £16 these Bonmarché jeans are incredibly good value – they have just the right amount of stretch, run true to size and feel great on. I think you’d be hard pressed to find such great jeans for this price anywhere else. The Susie slim leg jeans are available in three lengths, and also in grey.

Love that floral top and the red accessories are perfect! Thanks for the link up!
These jeans are a perfect fit on you, lucky girl! They look great. Your top is adorable too… just right for this spring weather. xx
Thank you Lisa!
Jeans are quite the hard fitting items, I must admit. I know it’s because there are so many fit points to consider and we are all built so differently!
But you definitely found some great ones here! Love the shirt too!

Thanks Jodie! I think I’ll be wearing this outfit a lot 🙂
I have the same with jeans, or boyfriend or skinny. I should check out that site and see if they deliver in the Netherlands too!
If not Nancy pop into a store when you’re over in the UK 🙂
My favourite type of jean has to be bootcut or flared. Makes my titchy legs look longer! I’m going off the ultra tight jeans now, maybe feeling a bit past it to wear them. I already have slim jeans from Bonmarche and find them a fantastic fit and really comfortable. Thank you for hosting Emma. Hooray for the sun being out! xx

They’re great value aren’t they? I’m going off the low rise jeans…can’t risk flashing a builder’s bum 😉 Some of the jeans I wore in my 30s were so low cut I couldn’t sit down in them!
Your top is just the cutest! It looks great with your straight leg jeans and red shoes. I like skinny jeans, but my favorites have to be flares because I really like how they elongate my legs.
Thanks Jennie! Yes flares are great for making legs look longer. I’m 5’7″ but would happily be a few inches taller!
Cute outfit, the jeans look great for £16! I like skinnies best but wear them cropped now in a nod to fashion!
Thanks Gail! Yes they’re fantastic value. I want to try crop flares…not sure if they’d suit me but no harm in trying, right? 😉
What a beautiful floral top. I love that it is a sweater/jumper. This reminds me to wear my striped+floral top (similar to yours) I recently purchased from Jacket Society. =) Thanks for the linkup, beautiful Emma.
Thank you Ada 🙂
This is the cutest blouse!!

Fab jeans, I’ve never thought to try Bonmarche for jeans, but I may have to try them.

Thanks Jill 🙂
First of all, I love the splashes of floral on the striped top! One of my favorite combinations is floral and stripes and it is so uniquely done on your adorable top. (I am wearing stripes and floral right now as a matter of fact!) And I agree with you completely about jeans…I need just a little bit of stretch in mine for easier movement. I am a mom on the go after all! Thanks so much for linking up with me, Emma!

Thanks Shelbee! Yes I need a bit of stretch in my jeans, I just can’t wear rigid ones any more.
I love both pieces on you Emma. I feel if I wear stripes it need to have something special about it, cut, addition of floral or ruffles… etc. and your jeans are so flattering! Love the look with the red shoes too!
