A simple jacket and jeans combination is one of my favourite outfits. Casual but smart, this classic pairing is appropriate for so many situations. On my recent holiday to Brittany we had a little shopping trip to Paimpol, a charming little town with some fabulous shops. I spotted this jacket on a sale rail reduced to 43 euros, which is a real bargain considering the quality. My dad kindly bought it for me as a birthday treat. I also have my dad to thank for the necklace, which he brought back from a recent trip to New Zealand 🙂
I decided to wear it for a meal out in St Quay on our last night there. Last year we were there for my birthday and ate in the same restaurant. I wore a similar outfit then: jeans, jacket and a printed silk top. Since then I’ve become full vegetarian, which isn’t easy in France. When I ate fish and seafood it was so easy, especially on the coast. I thought I might be able to order a salad without meat or fish, or maybe a pizza…but I was wrong. I ended up having another omelette (I ate a lot of those in France!) and felt like an egg bound chicken by the end of the holiday.
Despite the lack of vegetarian options it was a lovely meal and the perfect opportunity to snap some outfit photos. This combination of jeans and a jacket by the sea seems to match the blue sky and white boats in the harbour perfectly.

Great fresh looking nautical vibes! I love a jacket with jeans.
Lovely look Emma! Love the jacket and the jeans look great on you. Your skin always looks glowing! What a nice trip and harbour pics. I love fish and seafood, so I would have a tough time being vegetarian.. Sounds like it worked out though, although you probably arent craving eggs any time soon!
Have fun in Switzerland!

I love a good graphic tea especially a French-inspired tee like yours which is adorable and looks so good with the jacket and the jeans, pretty dressed up. The sea is your best background for this too.
