Marks and Spencer have some great pieces in their A/W range; I’ve bought the palazzo style jeans (which are fabulous), and I’ve got my eye on that Ganni dupe leopard print top too. It’s currently sold out online but the website is showing one still in stock in a store not too far away. Well, I can drive again now so there’s no stopping me! During the end of summer sale I saw this denim jumpsuit on the website but it had sold out in my size by the time I went to check out. I’d given up on it, but then I had to go to my nearest M&S branch to get something for Isobel and there on the sale rack was this denim jumpsuit in my size! It was the only one left so I guess it had my name on it!
The denim is really soft so it hangs nicely and feels lovely to wear. I never thought a denim jumpsuit could be so comfortable until I found this one! The utility style pockets on the legs are a great detail too (useful for popping my phone in!). It has an elasticated waistband underneath the belt creating a nice shape. I could switch the belt for a tan or leopard print one for contrast. I kept things simple this time though, with my gold crossbody bag and snake print sandals from Strive. These have been fantastic for coping with bunions as well as the operation and recovery. Having three adjustable velcro straps is a brilliant design feature.
Which brings me to the latest in the bunion saga! I had an appointment yesterday to remove the thick bandages and dressings. I also had the pin removed from my fourth toe which had been there for almost six weeks. When the surgeon asked if I was ready for him to remove it I said “Yes…will it hurt?” (By this time I realised there would be no pain relief involved!) But before I could blink he whipped it out! It was basically a 4cm nail with a flat plate covering the toe nail. It didn’t hurt much before but once that pin was out it was sore and throbbing. I couldn’t bear the covers being on it in bed last night. I have to keep the toe dry until the hole is completely healed to prevent infection.
I’m wearing my Strive sandals for now because I think a closed toe shoe might be too sore for a few days. It feels weird to walk normally now after hobbling around on my heel in the big foam sandal for so long. It will take a while for the tendons and muscles to adjust and walking bare foot is painful, but I’m hoping that will wear off soon. I couldn’t believe how dry my foot was underneath the bandages, it was actually quite gross! I’ve exfoliated and moisturised, so apart from my toes looking like little sausages due to the swelling (and a big scar) it’s not looking too bad!

Glad to hear your foot is on the road to recovery and you are out of the boot! I know it must be a great relief to walk normally, again. Your jumpsuit looks great on you-I am on the same page, and am wearing denim on my post this week, too. It is a great fabric for transitioning weather. Thanks for sharing and the link up, and hope you have a good rest of the week!
Oh, wow! I’m cringing just thinking about having that pulled out! I do remember how dry and yet had hanging skin when my bandages were removed for my first foot surgery. That soon takes care of itself once you are healed and can really bathe well. Love this denim jumpsuit. It just pops against your hair! And, I can see you could style it so many different ways. Thanks so much for the link up!

Your jumpsuit looks so cute and comfy. Your foot sounds so painful. I got squeamish just reading about it. I’m sorry.
Is a pretty long and painful road you have to ,, walk,, on. Pardon my cheesy remark. And I’ll bet its cold too. Anyway, the jumpsuit is lovely! So are the palazzo jeans! Wow. Can’t wait to see how they look on you. Good luck with recovering Emma!
Oh yes I’d wear this too. Lovely a jumpsuit and this one is a keeper! Thanks for sharing too. Jacqui x
Thank you so much for the feature, Emma! I didn’t realize you’d had bunion surgery—I’ve heard it’s super painful. Glad to hear you are on the mend though!

Love this look Emma. My toes were curling reading about your procedure, don’t think i would have been as brave as you – fingers and toes are the most sensitive areas, hope you mend quickly. x
So sorry to hear about your surgery and the pain and uncomfortably you are going through. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Love this jumpsuit you are wearing, you look great. Anna
