Embracing Autumn – October’s Style Not Age

We’ve had some wild weather here thanks to two storms in quick succession. In fact, I wasn’t sure I was going to get this post out today because the wind and rain has been relentless. Finally, we had a break from it this afternoon – just enough time for photos. Hilda chose this month’s Style Not Age theme of “Embracing Autumn”, and it certainly does feel autumnal now.

This brown fluffy cardigan is one of favourite autumn pieces. It’s super soft and cosy, albeit slightly itchy. But with a thin layer underneath, it’s fine. Actually, I wore it for last month’s Style Not Age theme of Summer to Autumn. This time, I’ve switched the leopard print jeans for these wide leg green trousers. I’ve got a matching waistcoat, but I’m not sure I like them together because it’s a longer length and makes me look wide on the hips. I think a shorter length jacket or cardigan looks better. I’ve added a silk scarf that was a gift many years ago. It’s just enought to keep the chill wind off my neck. The tan and leopard print bag completes the outfit of autumnal shades.
