Lintico Linen Trouser Suit + Style With a Smile Link Up

We have come to associate linen with the summer months, but it’s far more versatile that you might think. This Lintico linen trouser suit with matching waistcoat/vest is a perfect example. The trousers are light enough to wear through the summer months, but the addition of the waistcoat and jacket make the set ideal for autumn too. The relaxed fit and drawstring waist makes this a super comfortable outfit.

The fabric is much softer that other linen pieces I own. The weather was very changeable when we shot the photos (which is we why we had to retreat to the cabin for some of them) but I was very snug and cosy in this combination. I’d seen Lintico clothing showcased by other influencers and loved the classic, casual designs, so I was delighted when they got in touch offering a collaboration. It’s been in the pipeline a while as there’s been quite a lot going on lately, but I’m pleased to be abe to finally share this outfit with you. Lintico have kindly given me a 15% discount code for my readers by using the code LINTICOSLSL at the checkout.

One of the best things about the jacket and vest is that they’re reversible!

For size reference, I usually take a UK size 10 and I’m wearing a medium in all three pieces. The vest and jacket are quite generously sized, so if you want a more fitted look I would suggest sizing down. The good thing about the looser fit is that I can layer a sweater underneath them when it gets colder.

One of the best things about the jacket and vest is that they’re reversible! I do love reversible clothing – there should be more of it! I played around trying various combinations of the jacket and vest. I’m not usually one for light neutral shades, but I really love the reverse check pattern. Both sides have good sized pockets too, which is a great feature.

I decided on a mustard blouse to layer underneath, contrasting with the blue and complimenting the warm brown in the check. It turned out that the tie neck was actually quite a nuisance to get right, so I’ll probably find an alternative in future. To complete the look I added my gold trainers and new Ollie & Nic bag in teal. It’s the largest crossbody bag they make and is the perfect size for day trips out and travelling. You can get 15% off all Ollie & Nic bags with the code EMMAP15.

Sad news

This last week has been a rough one and I debated whether I should even post this week. My sister-in-law Linda passed away after a very short illness last Thursday and we are all still trying to absorb it. She was only 61 and should have had many more years with us. Very sad times. Thank you to everyone who left a kind comment on my personal Facebook account, I truly appreciate it.
