In my previous post I showed you how I’m all geared up for walks in the countryside with my new waterproof jacket and fleece. Well, I couldn’t leave the husband out – after all, he’ll be coming too! He doesn’t appear on the blog very often (he’s a bit camera shy) so I decided to let him have his own post.
It was actually Pete who first discovered this walking trail not far from our house. Being on the edge of the countryside is what I love most about living in Cheshire. Of course, you can’t always guarantee a crisp, sunny day like the day we took these photos. It tends to rain a lot in the North West so a good quality men’s waterproof jacket is a must-have for walks in the countryside. Blacks have a wide range of essential outdoor clothing to suit all budgets. If you’re looking for a practical Christmas gift for a male relative it’s definitely worth popping over for a look.
This Berghaus waterproof jacket is made with Hydroshell™ fabric – advanced waterproof technology with excellent breathability to ensure interior comfort. The cuffs, hem, and hood are all adjustable, plus the hood can be rolled away. I selected this jacket for him and apparently I chose well because he loves it!
A warm men’s fleece layered under a waterproof jacket is essential on cold days. But on mild, dry days they’re great to wear over a T-shirt. This men’s Berghaus fleece is manufactured according to MADEKIND™ principles, reducing impact across the entire production chain. Only garments made with more than 50% recycled content are awarded Berghaus’s MADEKIND™ label. The Colourkind fabric goes through fewer dyeing stages, using less water and CO2 compared with regular fabrics. This improved way of dyeing also means the colour will not fade.
So now we’re both kitted out to go exploring rural Cheshire…and maybe even further afield. We just need to convince Isobel to put the tablet down and come with us! If the planned routes happen to pass a pub that serves lunch I’m sure we’ll all be happy 😉

I love your husband fleece. and his jacket. They are practical and gives room for mobility something I love in winter pieces. It is great to keep him warm while taking pictures 🙂 .
I will look into the same fleece for my husband.
Thanks for sharing

Very nice photos of your well-dressed husband in the wonderful nature, dear Emma! My husband is also mostly camera shy – but there were already a few shootings in my blog, and all of them were very funny. So, dear men, don’t be shy – we like to look at you! 🙂

Emma, these pieces look wonderful and something my husband would really enjoy! I love when we get to show off our husbands on the blogs. They stay behind the cameras too often. So it is always nice to give them the spotlight every once in a while! You are one good looking couple, for sure!

How fun. Your husband makes a good model, even if he is a bit reluctant.
