I’m a day late with the link up because it’s been a hectic week. Last night we went to a gig in Manchester – I posted some snippets on Instagram stories. We saw Amyl and the Sniffers for the second time – they were absolutely brilliant! There were two support acts – The Menstrual Cramps, followed by Floodlights. The former were more my thing, very loud and sweary. Floodlights were more melodic and mellow, which Pete enjoyed.
This is my usual gig attire: faux leather leggings because they’re comfortable, and chunky Converse for height (to help get a better view!). They’re only half comfortable because they’re not bunion friendly, so while my right foot is fine in them now, my left is not. That will change soon though as I’m scheduled to have the second surgery in December. I usually wear a black top with these leggings, either a band T-shirt or something more fancy. This sequin sleeve top is somewhere between the two. I’ve had it ages, in fact I’m not sure I’ve worn it before. Black faux leather and sequins with chunky trainers is a comfy combination with just the right amount of edge and sparkle for me.
I usually wear my old leather jacket for gigs, but I knew I’d get hot down the front, so I wore a camo print shirt with sequin lips on instead. I was able to tie it around my waist rather than having to hold it. I’m glad I did now because I was sweating buckets by the end of the night. I only thought of wearing the shirt after taking the photos so I didn’t get any shots of it. I definitely preferred it to my leather jacket. Anyway, I’m sure I’ll be wearing it again soon so I’ll get some photos then.

So jealous that you got to see Amyl and the Sniffers again—they were in San Francisco recently but we were out of town and missed them!

What a cool look! Perfect for a concert! Menstrual cramps?? Haha, never heard of them but I can imagine how they would look and sound like. I’m going to Google, or AI en actually, lol. Have a great time on Madera !
It looks very cool. But I always wonder: can your legs ‘breathe’ in faux leather? They always make me think of Ross and his leather pants in Friends.
Great look for a rock concert, Emma! Edgy and comfortable. Sounds like you both had a blast. Thanks for sharing and hosting the link up. I hope you have a great weekend and a perfect upcoming trip to Madeira!
Absolutely love this edgy yet comfy combo! The mix of faux leather and sequins adds just the right amount of sparkle, and the Converse keep it effortlessly cool. Perfect gig look!
