The shopping, wrapping and food preparation is done…and relax! On top of the usual festive frenetic activities, we’ve been giving Isobel’s bedroom a makeover, I know what you’re thinking – just before Christmas, are you mad? Well yes, we must be. Except, we had no other opportunity to do it. All the flat pack furniture was in the garage taking up any remaining space so we had to crack on. The massive wardrobe was a complete and utter nightmare. Sunday was a long day! Anyway, we finished it and it looks great now.
Last Thursday I ended up going in to work at short notice. As I thought I’d done my last shift before Christmas, it was nice to have an extra day in the office. I took the opportunity to wear another of my faux fur coats as it was a sunny, but cold, day. I was feeling very festive in red in my big furry coat and check trouser suit. Pete was also working so we had lunch together at Banana Tree, the food is so good there.
I still haven’t undecided what to wear tomorrow (Christmas Day); I’m thinking either sequin or velvet trousers. Both have elasticated waists, which is the important thing! We have my brother, sister-in-law and niece, plus my mum and mother-in-law coming for lunch. Pete is doing most of the cooking (as usual) after an early shift. I think he’ll need a well-deserved rest and a snooze in the afternoon!
I’m publishing the link up post a day early this week (it used to be Tuesdays but I switched to Wednesdays a while back) because everyone will have better things to do tomorrow! This is the penultimate post of the year – just December’s Style Not Age post on Monday left. I hope you can join me for that.

I love the gorgeous red coat, Emma! I do hope you’ll share the bedroom makeover. I love seeing those kinds of things though I understand it’s your daughter’s bedroom. I hope you had a lovely Christmas and have some time to relax before going back in to work. My son has done some work on my laptop for security, and I cannot access link up buttons. I’ve got to get him to take a look at it, but he doesn’t really understand what they are. And, he’s going to Florida in a day or so! I’ll link up as soon as I can!
