Red for Valentine’s Day Stylish Monday link up

Valentine’s Day is just a few days away so it’s very fitting that this month’s Stylish Monday theme is red! Me and Pete don’t really celebrate Valentine’s Day so instead of a date night outfit I’ve put together something fun. Well actually, he described it as “borderline clown” – he even suggested I add a comedy red nose. That certainly killed any romance stone dead! Well despite Pete’s disparaging remarks, I love this colourful outfit. That’s all that matters, right?

I think I have trousers in every one of these colours, but of course I chose red for Valentine’s Day…

I bought this jumper on eBay a few months ago but this is the first time I’ve worn it. It’s a thin lurex knit so it has a subtle sparkle. With so many colours in it I have plenty of styling options; I think I have trousers in every one of these colours, but of course I chose red for Valentine’s Day…and the “amour” logo is very appropriate too!

The stretchy belt was also an eBay purchase, costing just a few pounds. It compliments the jumper rather well, although the buckle does look a bit like a broken heart…not an omen I hope! These cropped trousers came with a matching D ring belt (which I find impossible to fasten) but I wanted to add more colour. My faux fur rainbow clutch finished off the look!
