We’re on the home stretch folks…January is almost over! I know I shouldn’t wish my time away, but inching closer towards spring gets me feeling more motivated. Goodness knows I need it – I seem to have lost my mojo a bit lately and have been feeling very tired. Adequate sleep, hydration, exercise and nutrition are the key to overcoming this, I know. However, I am guilty of burning the midnight oil too often. (The ninety minutes between 10.30pm and midnight seem more like ten!) And while afternoon naps with the cat are nice, they’re not great for getting stuff done! I need to be less cat and more dog – cats are inherently lazy animals (well mine certainly is), whereas dogs are always eager for adventure. Which leads me nicely onto this shirt.
Now, I don’t own a dog (I have in the past) but I do love a fun dog print and I also love black, white and red together, so this Grenouille dog print shirt is right up my street! As always with Grenouille shirts, the contrast fabric on the cuffs and collar is exquisite. Scroll down to see a close up of the cuff and you’ll see what I mean.
The shirt is a relaxed fit with a 3% elastane soft cotton fabric, so it’s really comfortable. I toyed with the idea of styling it with tailored trousers and a jacket, but I did that with the black and white cat print shirt, so I opted for faux leather leggings and a faux fur gilet instead. I highlighted the red on the contrast fabric with my red vegan leather bag and red agate ring. Although I usually favour very colourful outfits, sometimes it’s good to mix things up!

You’ve inspired me to wear a blouse over my faux leather leggings (which I hardly ever wear). Sounds like you have a touch of SAD? February next week – hooray! x
That fun print is a fabulous way to brighten your mood. And the way you’ve styled it is fantastic.

I think most of us are feeling a little winter weary, too. I know I will be very happy to flip the calendar to spring!. Your quirky dog print shirt is a perfect pick me up! Grenouille makes the cleverest and cutest prints and I love all of yours. Thanks for sharing and the favorites mention.
