Happy Monday! I hope you had a fabulous weekend. I’m currently in sunny Spain (we shot these photos just before we left). After a day in Barcelona we’re now in a resort in Giverola with a big group of friends. Unfortunately, I had a slight mishap on Saturday evening when I lost my footing on the steep path back to the apartment and banged my chin really hard! I now have an impressive bruise! I wasn’t even drunk!
Anyway, on to this month’s Style Not Age theme, which is Jackets For July, chosen by Jacqui (loving the alliteration there!). I was very happy with this as I have so many jackets. I’ve bought loads of preloved jackets from eBay and charity shops (I featured one for this month’s Thrifty Six post). But the one I’m wearing in these photos is by one of my favourite brands: Pom Amsterdam.
I discovered the label thanks to Jacynth at The Bias Cut and have since bought five: two navy, one black, one burgundy and this one in a raspberry shade of pinky red. The detailing on Pom Amsterdam jackets is amazing, from the metallic embellishments, to the lurex striped turnover cuff to the exquisite lining, they really are things of beauty.
I put this outfit together in a bit of a rush as I had a lot going on before leaving for Spain (bloody Covid tests etc). But I’m fairly happy with how it turned out. I chose the Fabienne Chapot top (another brand I discovered from The Bias Cut) because it has little bits of red in it to compliment the jacket. Plus, I thought it would be fun to mix two animal prints by teaming it with the leopard print trousers. I was already thinking in terms of comfortable travelling outfits at this point! Satin trainers and a crossbody bag finished off the look.

Hope you’re having a fab time on holiday Emma. Your outfit rocks and I have to say that I’d be more than happy to receive any if not all of these jackets when you’re all finished with them! Such a lovely challenge.
Cheers

Oh my gosh that is bad! I had a huge bump on my chin last week of a flie or something like that! Love the pattern mixing here, so creative. And that is a lovely jacket! Love the detailing on the sleeves!
Ouch! Glad you’re ok! Love the jacket – so versatile, and the color is fab! Spain is on my bucket list! Happy Monday!
Such a FABULOUS look! I love Pom Amsterdam too, thanks to Jacynth! The top is such fun – and love the embellishments on the jacket. The skirt is magnificent!
Your blazer is cool!!
