Red Faux Fur Jacket and Faux Leather Leggings + Style With a Smile Link Up

How’s your week going so far? I was working in Birmingham yesterday so I was up early to catch the train. The weather was dry and bright so I went for a walk around the shops in my lunch break. The German market was certainly popular as it was heaving. Miraculously I didn’t buy anything, other than a coffee. However, I’d booked a later train, just in case I finished later than scheduled. But as it happened I had about 40 minutes to spare. Well, there’s a TKMaxx just outside New Street station so I popped in to kill some time. You can probably guess what happened next!

Let’s rewind a couple of months to another visit to a different TKMaxx store. That’s when I saw this red faux fur jacket and my heart skipped a beat. But it was a size 6. I stroked it admiringly and reluctantly walked away. Then a few days later I saw it online in my size, but I couldn’t justify spending £60 on something I didn’t really need. But then I walked into TKMaxx in the Bullring and there it was, in my size…and reduced to £32! It was like it was waiting for me. I had just enough time to buy it and dash off for my train (which ended up being delayed).

To be honest, I needed another faux fur jacket like a hole in the head, but when I tried it on I knew I had to buy it – especially at that price. (The RRP was over £100 and it’s on the TKMaxx website for £48 in the sale!) I’ve teamed my bargain red faux fur jacket with a co-ordinating leopard print top and faux leather leggings. The dropped, boxy style of this jacket would look also great with wide leg trousers and skirts.

I swapped the skinny strap that came with the bag for this black and white one with bees on. Earlier in the year I won an Instagram giveaway and this was one of the things I got with my gift voucher. (I also got the padded metallic bag and red dress from the same online store, No.1 George Street). I added a fedora to finish off the look.
