It may not feel much like Spring at the moment but that didn’t stop me dressing for it. I’ve been eager to wear this Lorraine Kelly for JD Williams floral print scuba jacket for weeks! It ticks all the boxes for Spring: it’s floral print and lightweight. Plus, thanks to the soft blues and pinks I managed to incorporate the Pantone colours of the year.
The pairing of Rose Quartz and Serenity is said to bring calm and relaxation…the perfect antidote to modern day stresses. According to Pantone Rose Quartz “conveys compassion and a sense of composure” while Serenity brings “feelings of respite and relaxation even in turbulent times”. I’m not sure if colour can influence our moods that much, or rather we are drawn to certain colours depending on our mood. With clothes I tend to think it’s more the latter.
I wanted to keep the rest of the outfit fairly casual so I paired some Gap boyfriend jeans with a cute short sleeved jumper which my mum bought me for Christmas. I love the jewelled collar! As I mentioned in my last post, I didn’t buy much in the sales this January. However, the items I did buy I really loved. I just couldn’t resist buying this pale blue Love Moschino bag when I saw it on sale at Cocosa. It was one of those situations when I add something to my basket and then keep it there while I wrestle with my conscience as to whether I really need it/can afford it etc. But I knew if I didn’t buy the bag it’d soon sell out and I’d regret it. The 50% discount swung it for me!
Jacket: Lorraine Kelly for JD Williams (gifted), top: Dorothy Perkins, jeans: Gap, shoes: Costume National, sunglasses: Moschino, ring: bought in France, bracelets: made by me.
