The theme for this month’s Style Not Age challenge is Lovely Linen, and I have to be honest, it’s not my favourite fabric. Whilst I appreciate its cooling properties I am not a fan of its tendency to crease with the slightest movement. Although I do have a few items of pure linen, I couldn’t for the life of me find them. So I’ve cheated ever so slightly with this linen mix co-ord from Damson Madder.
I bought it in the sale recently, immediately struck by the fun food print. I was expecting the material to be a bit softer and slinkier, rather than like pyjamas. They’re giving slight Villanelle-escaping-from-hospital vibes combined with the chunky sandals. (Although to her disgust she was forced to wear crocs with her PJs rather than sandals). Anyway, I think this cheerful pattern is a world away from the murky fictional goings-on in Killing Eve! The Italian theme is fun and colourful…perfect for late summer days.
For size reference, I’m wearing a size 10 in the trousers and a 12 in the top. In hindsight I wish I’d have ordered the 10 or even the 8 in the top because it comes up very big (I’ve tucked it at the back). My other set from Damson Madder is a 10 and comes up small (I wish brands would be consistent!). Unfortunately neither delivery nor returns are free so I’ll have to live with it.
To fully indulge in the fruit print I added a lemon bag and earrings. Chucky lilac sandals and sunglasses finished off the look.

Anna added pockets to her fabulous linen dress that she bought from Vinted (well, we all love pockets on a dress don’t we?). Her sandals and jewellery are old. You can find out more at Anna’s Island Style.
Jacqui has paired white wide leg trousers with a linen jacket that matches so that it looks like a suit. The tan jumper and bag give it a super chic look. Catch up with Jacqui at Mummabstylish.
Gail’s vibrant linen turquoise dress is from Boden. She has accessorised with a bag from Pure Collection, and red espadrilles from Sosander. Visit Is This Mutton? to read more.

Fun jumpsuit, very summery! You and I have the same views on linen! x
Thanks Gail! Haha, yes the need for frequent ironing is very off-putting!
