Welcome to the monthly edition of Match Made in Seven! We are an international group of fashion bloggers who meet once a month. One of us chooses a theme in turn, and that can be anything: a book, music, a color, a movie, and then we style an outfit based on that theme. This month Debbie set the theme of Fall Fashion Favourites…sartorial déjà vu for me after Monday’s Style Not Age post!
Anyway, I’m certainly not short of fall fashion favourites so it wasn’t difficult to find something fresh for this month’s Match Made in Seven. Check prints, plaid, tartan and houndstooth are always big Autumn/Winter trends. I’ve featured this Rena Lange jacket before with red jeans and a mustard top. I bought it from a charity shop for less than £10; jackets are my favourite items to buy second hand because you can find some really good quality brands at bargain prices.
For a change I’ve paired it with a flared midi skirt which I’ve had for ages. I only wear it in Autumn and Winter because it has deep splits so I have to wear tights with it. Even so, I’m a bit self-conscious when it’s windy! I layered a really old but oh-so-useful jumper with sheer sleeves and pussy bow underneath the jacket. A red bag and heart tassel earrings finished off the look.

The fishtail skirt, red jeans, two plaid jackets and coat were all bought second hand. I’m always looking for new places to find preloved bargains and my latest discovery is Micolet. It’s an online marketplace that offers second hand clothes and accessories from the world´s leading brands with discounts of up to 80%. Listing brands such as Zara, Louis Vitton, Mango, Bershka and Nike, Micolet adds over 1,000 garments and accessories daily!
