Tropical prints have been hugely popular this Summer, which just goes to show that even if the weather disappoints you can still brighten up your wardrobe with a splash of vivid colour. The high street has provided us with an impressive array of floral and tropical print pieces. River Island have a great selection at the moment, which is where I picked up this skirt in sale.
I was instantly drawn to the orange which I’ve highlighted with the bag. Mixing blush pink and orange makes me think of a tropical sunset. I kept the rest of the outfit neutral with a blush pink top and nude studded sandals (also from River Island). The top matches the pale pink at the bottom of the skirt. For other outfit options I could pair the skirt with a green top, or maybe even pale blue, because there is a small amount of blue in the print.
I bought this rose quartz Marks and Spencer Autograph necklace on eBay. It was brand new and matches the top perfectly. I’ll be making some of my own jewellery soon to feature on the blog, so watch this space!
