Do you remember this outfit from a few weeks ago? Well, just after I bought the co-ord, the blazer also went on sale so I ordered that too! I now have five suits from Monki in this style and I love them. They’re so easy to just throw on with a T-shirt and trainers for a smart casual look. (You can see some of my other suits here and here). I wore this outfit when we took Isobel for her trial flying lesson (as you’ll see in the last photo). This blazer is now out of stock but the shirt and trousers were still on sale when I last checked.
I’ve found brightly coloured loose trouser suits the ideal outfit for this wet and windy, often humid weather. No chance of floaty summer dresses unfortunately! Unlike my others, the trousers of this Monki floral print suit have an elasticated waistband. They are made of a satin fabric so they feel like pyjamas! When I wore the trousers with the matching shirt I teamed them with a bright pink bag and sandals. This time I chose to highlight the orange in the print. Next time I might try pale yellow or blue.
I’m a day late posting the link up this week because I’m at my mum’s with Isobel and there’s been so much to do. Mum is selling the house to move close to me so we have lots of sorting and clearing to do. That said, me and Isobel did go to the cinema to watch the Barbie movie while mum was having dialysis. I really enjoyed it…especially because we had big reclining seats! I wasn’t expecting that but I definitely appreciated it!

Super stylish, Emma! That co-ord has some lovely colours xx
Thank you! I love suits and co-ords, they take the faff out of getting dressed!
Emma that suit is the absolute BOMB… what a pattern!! No wonder you keep buying them 😉
I saw Barbie at the weekend with my sister and grown-up nieces (we had recliner seats too – was yours Vue as well?!) and bloody loved it. We laughed almost the whole way through, Ryan and Margot were brilliant, and we thought it had a really powerful message. No need to be a fan of the doll to like the movie… 10/10!
Thank you for hosting my lovely, so glad to have something to link up at last! C x
Thanks very much Catherine! The film was much funnier than I was expecting. We went to a Showcase cinema while we were visiting my mum in Peterborough. We smuggled our own snacks in though because I’d need a mortgage to buy popcorn and a drink there!
I absolutely adore this suit! The print is so colorful and fun! Thanks for the link up and enjoy the rest of your week!

All of your Monki coords look great on you and suit your style so well! They are so fresh and fun, and I love the brightly colored retro prints. They all have such wonderful mix and match potential too, since there are so many colors to pull out for accessorizing
Thanks so much Di!
What a fab suit, you do wear them well Emma, Thanks for hosting the linkup.

Thank you Jacqui!
This suit is so wonderfully you, Emma! I like how you can change the look by changing the accessories or shoes.
I saw the Barbie movie this past Monday and really liked it. I think it has a very powerful message and hope most people see past the fun fashions and really listen, especially to Gloria’s monologue. My granddaughter who is a teenager liked it, too. Thanks for the link party!

Thank you Marsha! Yes, Gloria’s monologue was very poignant. The film exceeded my expectations!
Thank you so much for the feature! I think this suit was made for you! Love the colors!
Thanks so much Laura! You’re welcome!
Well, how can you resist the suit right! You wear them so well. I haven’t seen the movie, give me a good thriller or horror. But it is a good idea to go to a cinema, its raining all the time!
Thanks Nancy! Typically, after all the wet weather we’ve had, the day we went to the cinema it was actually sunny and warm!
Super cute! And Monki is susainable too! They had the cutest lemon swimsuit that I wanted!
