Neutrals and Berry Tones: Great Plains camel coat, Marks & Spencer brwon button up skirt

Happy Tuesday! I hope your week has got off to a great start. When Sonja chose brown as last month’s Match Made in Seven it nudged me into wearing more chocolately shades. I saw this skirt and jumper on sale at Marks & Spencer just after Christmas – I paid less than £30 for both. Although I wasn’t intending to wear the skirt and jumper together I like the combination of neutrals and berry tones. I think both are now sold out online but you might find them in store; I’ve seen the jumper in a grey and purple colour combination.

My long camel coat pulls the colours together; this coat is one of my Winter favourites. A classic camel coat is a wardrobe hero, but I waited so long before buying one. I’ve worn this coat so much so it’s been a great investment (although I bought it heavily discounted from Secret Sales). I picked out the burgundy in the jumper with my bag and hat. For a fun touch I added my new hedgehog brooch which I bought on eBay. I love animal-themed jewellery 🙂

Do you have a classic camel coat?

I love that colour combination, Emma. And that brooch is super cute! I’ve always admired camel coats like yours – they really do look super stylish but sadly, camel colour looks absolutely hideous on me lol!!!

I was just thinking I need to wear my brown skirt this weekend and decide if it is going to stay in my closet. I never reach for it but this gives me a couple of ideas as far as colors and what I can try with it.
