It seemed quite appropriate to wear a dress by Fever on what was probably the hottest day of the year so far. Keeping cool in this mini heatwave has been a little challenging; we’re just not used to dealing with heat and humidity in the UK. I wasn’t being intentionally patriotic when I chose the red, white and blue Fever dress, but I like the colour combination.
The body of the dress is made from two layers of thin cotton with stretchy panels at the sides so it’s super comfortable. The skirt has a thin under layer making it light enough for hot days without being see-through. Plus it has pockets, which is always a winner for me with dresses and midi skirts!
The dress also gave me an opportunity to wear red shoes, which can instantly inject a shot of glamour into any outfit. I’ve had these Biba suede shoes stored under the bed for at least a couple of years and yet I hadn’t worn them before; I really don’t know why because they are surprisingly comfortable. I think I need to make a shoe directory with pictures to remind myself of just how many pairs I’ve got stashed away. Remembering I have them is one thing…locating them under one of the beds is another dilemma!

Those are seriously cute shades! I love the red shoes too.. still on the hunt for me, as I cant wear high heels. The dress is perfect for the holiday! Happy 4th and

I love this! The different patterns with the same colors already part of the dress are so perfect. I love how you added fun shades and shoes.

Thanks Jess! The shoes are surprisingly comfortable given the height of the heels, although I wouldn’t want to walk too far in them!
Thanks Amy Ann!
Oh such a perfect match!
