There are two things I can’t resist when it comes to clothes: a good fitting trouser suit and retro prints. So when I found this retro daisy print suit by Madcap England I had to have it. I’m not sure how I discovered it, but let’s just say the algorithm got me hook line and sinker. I never thought I’d find a suit that would come close to my Hippie Shake three piece but this exceeded my expectations.
It’s always a bit of a risk when you order from a new brand; you don’t know the sizing, fit and fabric. I thought this suit might feel a bit stiff, like denim, but the material is lovely. The trousers are so comfortable and I’m really pleased with the fit. It’s also available in another print that’s similar to my Hippie Shake suit – so similar that I can’t justify getting that colourway too. However, there are lots more fabulous pieces by Madcap England on their own website and Atom Retro, which his where I purchased this suit.
Luckily I had a generous discount code, otherwise it would have been a bit pricey. Atom Retro frequently have flash discounts of 30% and 40% – this week they were offering 40% off all Irregular Choice footwear. I may have bought myself a birthday present 😉 I teamed the retro daisy print suit with a simple white shirt and boots, but picked up on the yellow with my bag and earrings. I will probably style it more casually with a T-shirt and white trainers too. The boots look good but my feet don’t feel so good in them after a little while!
You may be wondering why the link up is a day late; well, the main reason is the weather. I had no photos on Tuesday morning and it rained all day. Today has been a vast improvement thankfully, because I’m getting rather sick of it raining almost every day! I wish that pesky jet stream would drift further north!
