Merhaba from Turkey! We’ve been here ten days now and are coming to the end of the holiday sadly. We haven’t had a fortnight away for years so it’s been wonderful to relax, sleep lots and not have to prepare any food. Of course, I’m missing my Henry, but there are lots of cats here in Antalya, including at the hotel, so I have plenty of kitty friends to fuss 🙂
I wasn’t sure what the weather was going to be like – the BBC weather app was showing highs of 18c, so not exactly scorching hot. That made packing very tricky so I hedged my bets and brought both beachwear and jeans and a couple of sweaters. I’m glad to say that the temperature has been a few degrees higher than that on most days, so I’ve topped up on my vitamin D and got a tan! We have had a couple of cloudy, rainy days, as well as a thunder storm, which was great to watch from the balcony at night.
I do like to buy a couple of new pieces for a holiday; as well as making photos more interesting it makes me feel more in holiday mode. I bought this snake print frill hem dress from TKMaxx when I was shopping online for some new sunglasses. I’ve somehow managed to lose my favourite black cat eye shades, so I needed some replacements. In the end I didn’t buy the sunglasses online, instead I bought them in store when I went to collect the dress. I also picked up another pair that were too fabulous to resist 😉
The dress is a faux wrap style with a zip at the side and a pop fastener on the neckline to prevent gaping, which I think is a great detail. Usually I end up trying to achieve the same result with a safety pin, but they always seem to show. I love the high low frill hem, while the attached half slip spares my blushes 😉
I kept everything else neutral because that’s pretty much all I packed in terms of accessories, due to only bringing two suitcases for the three of us. The gold wedge espadrilles and cream shoulder bag have been on quite a few holidays now but are still going strong! I added a gold necklace and my new favourite mismatch earrings from Finery. It’s taken me ages to get on board with the mismatch earring trend, in fact I considered buying two pairs of these so I had two matching pairs! Sadly they now seem to be sold out, but I’ve found some similar ones that I’ve included in the widget.
Being on holiday means not worrying about time and tracking daily steps, so I’ve swapped my FourFit fitness band for my new Adexe watch. Adexe is a watch brand based in the heart of London, in Shoreditch. The brand is “all about self-expression, individuality and wearing pieces that reflect your style and identity”. All Adexe watches are designed in the London studio and made in-house.
The new Mini Sistine style is a beautiful, classic design. Usually I’m quite indecisive when it comes to choosing jewellery and watches, but I knew straight away that the rose gold was the one for me. I adore rose gold and find it much more flattering for my skin tone than yellow gold. I enjoy wearing my new watch as a piece of jewellery as much as a timepiece. With prices starting from £79 the Mini Sistine watches are very affordable, and make the perfect gift for a loved one or a special treat for yourself.

Such a fabulous dress!
I’m glad you’ve enjoyed your time away. The high low hem with a ruffle is one of my favorites, although it seems a bit elusive to find, now that I’m looking for a skirt or dress with one.
loving the photos! ALSO LOVE YOUR OUTFIT!!
