Trying Out the Pop Art Trend

October 24, 2012

Every now and then a fashion trend emerges that’s so eye-catching you’ve just got to grab a piece of the action. The pop art prints inspired by the artist Roy Lichtenstein burst onto the fashion scene with the 3.1 Phillip Lim Break Up clutch bag. Since then others have followed suit and there are now more purse-friendly ways of buying into the trend, such as this top I’m wearing from Choies. Wearing it with black jeans really makes the colours stand out while keeping it casual, but I plan on wearing it with a  black pencil skirt – maybe in faux leather – for a more dressed-up look.

If you’re a fan of  pop art prints then you will love the Heart collection by Karla Spetic. The Croatian-born Australian designer has created some fantastic pieces.

If having comic book images emblazoned across your body is not your cup of tea then you could wear them on your nails instead!

What do you think of the pop art trend? Do you like it, and if so how will you be wearing it?

This is where I link up!
