Pink and mustard sounds like an unusual combination, and one I wouldn’t have thought of wearing…until I found this pink blouse in a charity shop for less than £5! I just love the horse print, which has dark yellow in it, so it seemed natural to try it with these Asos mustard peg leg trousers. I’ve worn the trousers with black and purple before but nothing as bold and bright as this pink.
The blouse is made of a lovely soft cotton, and although it’s a little snug (I rarely try things on in charity shops) it’s not uncomfortable. Luckily it has a zipper on one side which makes it easier to get on and off. It also has a hook and eye fastener at the neck which can be worn undone.
I didn’t want to introduce too many colours into this outfit so I picked out a pair of pink suede slingbacks, which cost me the princely sum of £10 a few years ago. The Angel Jackson snakeprint bag is roughly the same colour as the trousers, with the grey of the snake print picking up on the darker colours in the print of the blouse. Only one bold item of jewellery was called for with this outfit so I chose a Kenneth Jay Lane door knocker ring and a delicate charm bracelet which I’ve had since childhood.
Trousers: Asos (similar) | blouse: charity shop | bag: Angel Jackson | shoes: old (similar) | ring: Kenneth Jay Lane

I love these colors together. It’s so fun for spring. I like pink and orange together too.

I wouldn’t have thought of this combo either, but I love the end result! What a cute top!
I never seem to find anything half as good as at blouse in charity shops – I always come out either with books or empty handed lol! This combo is great, I don’t know if I could pull off such bold colours but you look stunning and ready for the sunshine!

This is such a great colour combo.
I am a bit of a thrift store junkie myself. Probably half of my wardrobe is either thrift or consignment.

Thanks Suzanne! Searching through charity shop rails for a gem can be a bit like trying to find a needle in a haystack but it’s very satisfying when you find something you really love! 🙂
