The last week has been a bit of a rollercoaster; this time last week Isobel was looking forward to a four-night school trip this week. Then on Tuesday we noticed some spots on her torso…by Wednesday morning it was obvious she had chicken pox. How she managed to avoid it up until now baffles me, but I suppose it had to happen sooner or later! That threw the trip into doubt as the school said all the spots had to have dried up. Thankfully, she didn’t get too many, and only a couple on her face. Even so, I’m glad we took these photos at the same time as my Stylish Monday Mad for Plaid outfit!
After a nervous few days we made the decision that Isobel was well enough to go, and so I spent yesterday rushing around buying last minute essentials. (I had planned to post this yesterday, but it was too hectic!) She would have been so disappointed to miss out on all the fun activities. Of course I will miss her terribly, but I know that she’ll be having loads of fun 🙂 Something else that put a smile on her face was receiving this beautiful hedgehog print ruffle shirt from La Coqueta. Isobel adores hedgehogs and goes straight to them whenever I take her to the wildlife hospital where I volunteer.

The Mara hedgehog shirt is made from a lightweight textured cotton, making it very comfortable (according to Isobel who is very fussy about these things!). It features cute wooden buttons, elasticated gathered sleeves and a ruffled collar. And of course, the hedgehog print is just adorable…I want one too! Isobel chose her grey leggings and contrasting mustard ankle boots to wear with the shirt. She helped herself to one of my bags to finish off the outfit!

Oh that is a cute blouse!! We have a hedgehog in our garden. We see him, I think it’s a him because it’s a big one, almost every night. I hope Isobel is enjoying her trip!

Oh my word, Emma! She is just the cutest! Look at her being a mini fashion blogger. Girl has definitely got some style and sass on her! I want one of these shirts, too. So cute. I do love a hedgehog print as well. I did have a cute tee shirt with hedgehogs, but it got so ratty that it has been downgraded to a sleep shirt. I am glad the chicken pox didn’t ruin her trip!
