I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I spent it at my mum’s for her birthday on Saturday; we had a lovely afternoon out in Stamford, Lincolnshire, which is a short drive from where she lives. We had a stroll around the beautiful Georgian town, looked in some charity shops and had a delicious pasta lunch. On Sunday I made a vegan lemon cake while mum cooked a traditional Sunday lunch (I had a jackfruit pastry parcel from Aldi and it was so tasty!). My brother and sister-in-law came over too, so it was a nice family gathering 🙂
Anyway, onto this month’s Stylish Monday link up, and for October we’re mad for plaid! Tartan, plaid and check prints seem to feature heavily every Autumn/Winter, and for good reason. These so-called “heritage prints” always look stylish, whether you wear them casually or as part of a more formal outfit. I bought this jacket on eBay at the beginning of the year. Last time I wore it on the blog was with black trousers…and the same bag, bracelet and earrings! Oh well, if it ain’t broke…
As the jacket is a cropped style I have to bear that in mind when choosing a top to wear underneath. On this occasion I’ve opted for a thin knit butterfly motif sweater. The grey butterflies pick out the grey in the jacket and skirt. It’s back to boots weather – the garden is a bit waterlogged as we’ve had a lot of rain, so these wedge boots were a good choice!

Plaid is one of my favorite prints and yet we tend to steer away from it all Spring and Summer long. I am so happy that it is plaid season once again. This jacket is so amazing and I am dying over that adorable color blocked skirt. All of your plaid looks have wowed me. And now I need to head off and check out the rest of these beautiful plaid-clad ladies!

Such a cute fall look!
You’ve featured so many *great* plaids! It’s time for me to be on the lookout for some that I love as I don’t usually gravitate toward them… The dress/tunic look seems to be my fave.
That moto is awesome on you! I love the fit and the colors are beautiful. I really am a big fan of plaid and just bought a double breasted blazer I look forward to wearing.
