It seems churlish to complain about the hot weather when it’s cold and raining for a lot of the year…but I’m going to anyway! It’s just insanely hot and humid. I had to sleep downstairs last night, it was stifling upstairs. I’ve been wearing the lightest, airiest clothing I have when I need to go out. No air con in my car is horrendous – my sat nav switches to dark mode because my phone gets too hot! Thankfully, the temperature is going to drop back down to the 20s at the weekend. It’s a sign of things to come I fear.
When it’s this hot, I have to get my hair off my face; it turns to frizz and fluff anyway. A colourful headband always comes in handy. This fruit print maxi skirt is very summery and tropical, and it has an elasticated waist so it’s comfortable. I have a matching crop top but I wanted something with more coverage, so I paired it with this loose square neck top. I picked up on the fruit theme with a fun necklace and beaded bag. I bought the skirt last year for my holiday in Cape Verde, where I wore it with a blue vest. That’s the great thing about a skirt like this, you can pair it with almost any colour.
For some reason, Inlinkz isn’t working for me – ot’s showing a 500 bad server gateway error. I can’t log in or see any of the posts linked from last week. So unfortunately, I can’t add this week’s link up widget at the moment, but hopefully it will be up and running tomorrow. All being well, I’ll add the link up and last week’s favourites tomorrow.
