Happy Monday! As it’s the last one of the month it’s time for February’s Style Not Age challenge. It was Gail’s turn to set the theme and she chose “All Buttoned Up”. My thoughts immediately turned to this button print shirt from Salamander Shirts. I’ve previously teamed it with green trousers and a pink beret but on this occasion I opted for bright pink trousers and jacket.
The beauty of this print is all the different colours which offer plenty of styling options. You can basically pick out any of the colours, it’s such a fun pattern. The pink piping works particularly well with this jacket though. I have several Pom Amsterdam jackets and ironically, most of them don’t have buttons. One of the reasons I love them so much is the quirky details, such as the fun embellishments in the place of buttons. (My black bugs jacket is one of my favourites). I found this bright pink jacket second hand for the bargain price of £18 including postage. Full price they are over £150, although there are some on sale at The Bias Cut.
To highlight the different colours in the shirt’s print I accessorised with my faux fur striped bag and yellow boots. The bag is so soft – I can’t stop stroking it! I added some fun embellished sunglasses and a bright pink ring that I bought on eBay last year.

Gail shopped everything shopped from her wardrobe for this challenge. Her jumper (with buttons on the shoulder) is from River Island and skirt from Asos. The orange Kettlewell belt and scarf add a fabulous pop of colour. Visit Is This Mutton? to find out more.
Hilda has paired a stylish jacket from Zara with jeans for a very chic, casual look. Find out all the details at Over the Hilda.
Anna found her Jaeger linen top in a charity shop for only a fiver, but when she got it home she discovered that it had a scorch mark on the sleeve. A bit of upcycling with some applique fixed that, and Anna has also changed the buttons to make it a truly unique piece. Head over to Anna’s Island Style for more.
Jacqui of Mummabstylish has chosen light cotton trousers with buttons on the side to fasten them. She has paired them with a chunky grey roll neck, white trainers and a grey cross body bag.
