Only three more sleeps until the big day! Are you all ready? I’m not quite there yet – just a few last minute presents and food shopping to get. I’ve been back in the newsroom for a couple of days this week, which has given me the opportunity to get out of the joggers and slippers! Taking the time to put an outfit together makes me feel instantly more positive and productive. If it involves bright colours and fun prints, so much the better!
Wearing this gorgeous button print cotton shirt lifts my mood immensely. The fun, colourful pattern is an absolute joy to wear. Salamander Shirts have kindly gifted me three of their fabulous shirts…I can’t wait to show you the other two (you might have seen a sneak peek over on Instagram stories the other day).
The quality of the shirt is fantastic – you could easily pay twice or three times more for a garment made to this high standard. At £40 I think you’re getting incredible value for money. You can read more about Salamander Shirts here. The shirt is made from top quality cotton, there’s no boob gape…and I didn’t even need to iron it (unlike these linen trousers which I did iron, although it made very little impact on the creases!).
The attention to detail on the shirt is incredible; I love the contrast material used for inside the cuffs, collar and placket. The cerise pink piping and buttons are the perfect finishing touches, which gave me the idea of wearing the pink beret and bag. I chose dark pink boots (which you saw in last week’s post) but the trousers are so long you can barely see them. My Yaa Yaa London rings pick up on the colours in the shirt and add a little more joy to the outfit. I’m a big believer in using colour as a way to lift my mood…we need that more than ever right now don’t we?
Do take a look at Salamander Shirts, I’m sure you’ll love them as much as I do. Plus, if you want to treat yourself (or someone else) you’re in luck because the lovely team at Salamander Shirts are offering a 20% discount to my readers with the code STYLESPLASH…enjoy!

You can see the quality of blouses and dresses and skirts by the inside. If it has no color or print it’s cheaply made. The color and print of this blouse is gorgeous! And I’m always for no ironing!!
