I’ve been collecting pieces from Desigual’s collaboration with Miranda Makaroff for a while now. Most of the collection has sold out but you can regularly find pieces pop up on eBay and Vinted. (I’ve linked to some in the widget below). A month or so ago, I was surprised to find some pieces from the collection appear in Desigual’s sale so I bought this vest and some patterned cropped jeans. I’d previously bought a coat and turtle neck top in an earlier sale (see those here). I also bought a mesh purple top from eBay which I wore in this Instagram reel. So you could say I’m a fan of these bold designs!
I’m hoping Miranda does another range for Desigual because they are a Spanish match made in heaven! (She has also collaborated with Zara, Gucci and Stieglitz). A bold pattern like this is easy to pair with a block colour. I have many pairs of brightly-coloured trousers and skirts so I’ll have plenty of styling options. After trying out a few colours I decided to combine this Desigual x Miranda Makaroff vest and green trousers with yellow accessories. The chunky bracelet by Les Nereides is one of my best charity shop finds. I paid only £2.50 for what would have been a fairly expensive piece.
One of the things I love about this vest (other than the fabulous pattern) is the thin and stretchy waffle fabric. It means it’s perfect for warm and humid summer days but I can also layer it over a a long sleeved top when it’s cooler. It will be ideal for taking on holiday too because it won’t crease. We don’t have plans to go away over the summer holidays but are hoping to go back to Madeira in October. I’m sure I’ll be ready for a holiday by then!
