In yesterday’s Style Not Age post I mentioned that I had a couple of outfits in mind for our “Frill Seekers” theme; well this was the other one. It just wasn’t practical to wear this to work on a long, chilly day, so I had to wait a couple of days until I could take these photos. I really wanted to wear this skirt on the blog because I’ve had it for years and never worn it. Every time I’d tried it on it was too tight for comfort! I bought it when I was going through a bit of a Karen Millen phase and picked this and another skirt up in the sale.
I had intended to wear it with the mustard frill neck jumper that I paired with my cobalt trousers, but it didn’t look quite right. Then I remembered I had this top which is part of a co-ord set, which works much better. My M&S faux suede court shoes match it perfectly. I added my Angel Jackson fringe bag, which has a shoulder strap, but I tucked it inside to wear it as a clutch. A gold owl pendant, statement ring and neutral tassel earrings finished off the look. An outfit made up entirely of old and previously seen pieces…it’s good to shop your closet!
