I do hope you’re not bored of sparkly outfits yet because I’m not! I’ve had my eye on this Golden Girl lurex jumper for a while and managed to snag it during the Black Friday sale. I’m not a fan of the whole Black Friday/Cyber Monday malarkey, but if I see something I genuinely want or need I’ll take advantage of it.
I’m all for working a bit of sparkle into everyday outfits and this jumper fits the bill perfectly. It’ll work well with blue or faux leather jeans and trainers for a more casual look. On the Joanie website the model is wearing it with a gold sequin skirt, which is a great party option. I’ve styled the Golden Girl lurex jumper and lace skirt with my Winter-favourite black glitter ankle boots. Festivities aside, I have a family birthday lunch this weekend so I may wear this outfit for that.
This jumper was my first purchase from Joanie, whose tagline is “Pretty clothes for nostalgic souls”. There are also “Silver Linings” and “Lady in Red” versions of this jumper, although the red appears to be out of stock at the moment. Lorraine Kelly was wearing the red jumper on TV this morning (she’s previously worn the Golden Girl jumper too).
Some lurex fabric is thin and slinky but this jumper has a decent thickness. The sizing options are small, medium large – the small equates to 8-10 and the medium 12-14, which isn’t ideal for me as I typically take a 10-12. I ordered the medium and while it doesn’t fit as neatly as I’d like, I think the small would be too snug. I also ordered a fox motif jumper which comes up even more generous.
Joanie has some fabulous slogan jumpers, some of which are still on sale. They make a great alternative to the Christmas “ugly jumper” if that’s not your thing. I’ll be poised and ready for the January sales (which now start before Christmas!) to bag another bargain.

LOVE your sweater! Such a cute saying and the gold color looks fabulous with your hair! Your skirt is beautiful as well, the larger well made lace pattern is lovely and I like the hem. I’ll be adding sparkle to my holiday look too! I don’t care for all the craziness surrounding Black Fri- Cyber mon and don’t dare leave my house, but shop a bit on-line if I see something.

Oh, I love a good graphic or slogan top whether it is a tee shirt or a jumper! This one is so pretty and a lot of fun. Perfectly paired with the lacy skirt for a festive look! I have not found a lurex jumper though that isn’t itchy! Although I do love the added sparkle that the fabric brings.

I love your look! I have a sparkly gold top but really would love to have one that’s actually a sweater – yours is just perfect and looks amazing on you! The skirt and booties are gorgeous and your earrings are so glam! Great job with putting this look together! Oh, and is there such a thing as too much sparkle?!?

Striking skirt, and i love it paired with your snazzy top! Thanks for hosting. Jacqui x
Oh that is a long time ago since I’ve seen a lurex top. It’s fantastic! I loved it because it’s so easy to wear, doesn’t wrinkle. And this golden one is so perfect.
What a pretty outfit! I’d wear this to work any day (but I’m that kind of gal who wears this sort of thing on a daily basis!). I’m not a fan of ugly Christmas sweaters – why be ugly? – so it’s nice to see some chic alternatives. Love that lace skirt!
The sweater is so perfect for this time of the year! Love it and how it’s paired with the pretty skirt!
